After I seen the "Smokahontas" video on MTV2 I was immediately intrigued with this band. Call me a sheep, a lame brained sell-out, whatever. There are some sick metal riffs on this CD, combined with rave-pop style dance beats. Also, the vocals are very good and you can understand the lyrics. You get more growl than screamo and the singers can sing some fine harmony also.
Sometimes when it seems that all the metal you hear sounds the same, it's nice to give something different a listen. Even if you hate dance club music, as I do, you may like this CD. Not to mention "Smokahotas" again, but the intro and outro riffs in that song are uber-heavy and sound awesome when played loud through your car stereo.
There are some songs I don't care for, like "Fumbles O'Brian". The beginning is very annoying! To make up for it, there is "AC-130", a song I would put up against anything headbanging. Just like any other CD I own... some songs I love, like, think are O.K., and/or hate!
To all the "real hardcore metal heads" out there, feel free to rip on me and tell me how lame I am. Take care everyone and godspeed...
