I purchased this book as well as a few others in hopes of starting to train my puppy as an avy rescue dog... This book has great facts and the tone certainly takes your head out of the clouds, and puts them on the ground in a true SAR way. Im finding this book to be very helpful with the beginning parts of training and would recommend it highly for interested dog owners and trainers

I had high hopes for this book. Although there is training information in this book, the narative instantly takes over. I was looking for a book to give us sound training advice. Unfortunately this book was written as a biography. If I wanted a story book, I would have purchased one.
