The movie is fantastic, and the music works well when played along with the film. However as a stand alone recording, this is not James Horner's best work.I much preferred his other soundtracks: legends of the fall, Braveheart, Enemy at the gates, and even Titanic. On this recording the use of choirs and human voices is really good and some tunes will please you and remind you of some great moments of the movie. Enjoy it, P.

The music sometimes feels very artificial. I sounds like it was made with synthesizers and not real instruments. Leona Lewis's song is very good that's the good thing.

I give the Avatar sound track a five start rating. If you don't listen to anything but Hip Hop or Techno you should give this a listen and you might be surprised. It's not really classical but it leans that way somewhat. You will here sounds from the Pirates movie and from Titanic remixed in parts into this CD. If you enjoyed the music from Pirates of the Caribbean, Titanic, Transformers or Lord of the Rings you will really enjoy this CD.
