great book. May 19 2013

I enjoyed this book but wouldn't recommend it for young readers. The love scenes were graphic. I'm not complaining about graphic love scenes, for I've read my share of romance stories. I just wouldn't let a young adult read this book. Otherwise it was a great book. This is the 5th book in the Ashton's series. I loved how Alexandre brought Charlotte out of her shell. She was able to be the woman she wanted to be and Alexandre was able to look beyond his past. I would recommend this book, but suggest the reader to start with the first. Everything makes more sense.

I love this author's books! Nalini Singh June 28 2005
By SuzyQ - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Mass Market Paperback
eHarlequin.com Book Summary - Charlotte Ashton had never belonged anywhere - until she met worldly Alexandre Dupree. The winemaker was consulting at her family's vineyard, and soon shy Charlotte was completely under his spell. He seemed to know all her secret desires, all her dreams - as if he'd been put on earth just for her pleasure.

Alexandre seduced Charlotte in all the ways she had fantasized about. He'd read her secret journal and discovered the real Charlotte - the sensual lover, the generous woman, the vulnerable virgin. Was his crime so unforgivable when all he'd wanted was her love? Yet now to maintain her trust, he would have to continue to lie.... (End Summary)

I love this book just like I love all of the Nalini Singh books I've read - she gets the balance between sex and romance just right - this is a must read for fans of her style.

I selected this Silhouette Desire book because it was written by Nalini Singh, so I guess I expected more. I thought the entire book -- plot, characters, etc. -- was simple. There was nothing in the context of the book to really grab me and pull me into a believable relationship between the hero and heroine. If you like a simple love story without much action, you will love this story. It just left me feeling much of nothing. In fact, I had to look back within the book to remember the names of the main characters.

Sweet story... Jan. 19 2013

I thought this story was a little rushed, but still very good. Nalini Singh never fails to make her characters seem so very real, like someoone you would like to know...whether they be vampires, archangels, shape shifters or just regular humans.

Eye rolling corny/plot went nowhere Oct. 8 2011

Format: Kindle Edition
What little plot there was came to no conclusions. Romance was corny, predictable. Wish I wasn't cumpulsed to finish what I started.
