5.0 out of 5 stars Worked, but have a little patience April 18 2014

I tried several non-chemical methods. Nothing worked until I tried this practically harmless naturally occurring chemical.

Put corn meal (corn meal itself will kill many ants as it expands inside them) in the center of an unbroken ring of this powder everywhere you find a nest, and within a few weeks they will be gone.

3.0 out of 5 stars Label this web page better please. May 5 2012

I searched 100% Boric Acid to find this, but when received, it is really something like 60% boric acid. The rest is toxic and harmful if inhaled etc. I don't want that around my house, although this product does work. 100% boric acid works and isn't dangerous.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent insect killer - safe for household use. Sept. 26 2011

Boric acid is a fantastic insect killer, and it is safe to use - it is less toxic than table salt (that doesn't mean that you should mix it with your food, though).

Do some internet research first to determine how to use it for your intended application. Remember that it does not kill on contact and it does not serve as an immediate kill spray. For ants (my intended application), it must be mixed with sugar and hot water (1 tsp sugar, 1 Tbsp boric acid, 4 oz water - heat until it dissolves). Drip this on sealed surfaces, or on cotton balls, and ants will be drawn to this in hoards. After a few days of gluttonous feasting, ants disappear.

1.0 out of 5 stars Cap broken during shipment bc poorly packaged Sept. 26 2012
By Sean K - Published on Amazon.com

Low rating bc Improperly packaged by Amazon: Amazon shipped this plastic bottle of boric acid in a cardboard box with insufficient padding. Subsequently, the Cap was broken off during shipment, and a large quantity of the boric acid was spilled out into the box. Broken cap also makes dispensing the product in a uniform manner more difficult.

The actual product seems to work okay, though when used alone doesn't eradicate all roaches. Recommend its use in combination with spray and baits.

Kills them dead.... in time once they bring it back to the nest. Be sure to make a paste and something they like to eat.
