Do it yourself!, Feb 25 2011
This review is from: BMW 3 Series (E90, E91, E92, E93) Service Manual: 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009: 325i, 325xi, 328i, 328xi, 330i, 330xi, 335i, 335xi (Hardcover)
This is a carefully developed Service Manual, when combined with an internet site that has a part catalog, you can perform any minor (or not-so-minor) repair/maintenance in your vehicle. The only problem is that not all of the part codes are present - for instance, when I needed to replace the rear brake pads, the brake pad code, as well as the brake pad sensor code could not be found. However, it took me less than 10 minutes to find such itens on specialized internet sites. I say it is a must have for E-90 owners.

Good reference manual, Oct 29 2010
Good reference manual for anyone planning to perform some service work on their BMW or even just to know their car better. Lots of good pictures and well written procedures. As with most manuals I have perused this manual could use a bigger troubleshooting section. Quite a large section on the vehicle electrical system. Scan tool needed to take full advantage of OBD section in manual.

This review is from: BMW 3 Series Service Manual 2006-2009: 325i, 325xi, 328i, 328xi, 330i, 330xi, 335i, 335xi (Paperback)
...and BMW dealers would not tell you. For a DIY as myself , this manual teaches the logic, the shortcuts, what to say?...all the things one needs to know. The book is beautifully printed, information is presented in a logic sequence and in a VERY comprenhesive manner. If you have a Series 3 BMW and want to understand your car, this is THE book. Excellent product

A MUST HAVE for BMW owners of the 3-Series, Mar 19 2010
By Jimrokon - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: BMW 3 Series Service Manual 2006-2009: 325i, 325xi, 328i, 328xi, 330i, 330xi, 335i, 335xi (Paperback)
If you have a BMW or thinking of buying one used, you really ought to have a thorough service book like this. Repairs on BMW can be very expensive, and the information available in books of this high quality are going to save you big time. Don't hesitate to buy the Bentley Publisher service books, they are an amazing bargain.

Lacking Some Essentials, Mar 5 2012
By Johnny R. McCarty - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: BMW 3 Series (E90, E91, E92, E93) Service Manual: 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010: 325i, 325xi, 328i, 328xi, 330i, 330xi, 335i, 335xi (Hardcover)
Overall this is a good reference tool for a BMW Series 3 owner. However, for the cost, it should be a great tool. While the physical quality of the book is very good, some essential information is oddly missing. For instance, they cover the removal of the front door window regulators but not the regulators for the rear door windows. In addition, the coverage leaves out vital information for safely dealing with the side airbags in the front doors. The book states that the window has to be removed to replace the regulator, this is not so. No mention is made of how to easily remove and replace the regulator itself, how to detach it from and reattach it to the window, nor how to safely check for proper window functioning without setting an error code. There are similar deficiences throughout the book. This book alone is NOT for the novice DIY mechanic. Get a Haynes manual or other similar manual to go along with this book, it will fill in some of the information gaps. The ideal would be to get a genuine BMW factory repair manual, if such a thing is even possible, in addition to this book. Finally, this book shares a common failing with every automotive DIY service and repair manual I have ever known: it is bound and its pages are paper which stains very easily. This kind of book should be in a ring binder so new pages or personal notes can be easily added, that will lay flat and open to the page one needs, and the pages should be made of something that will not be stained or ruined in a shop environment. I routinely take service manuals apart, put the pages in document protectors and insert them in 3-ring binders. The publishers should do this routinely or at least offer us the option.
