Great movie,

I loved this movie. I love the flavor of our story teller Fred Pellerin who is well-knowned in Quebec for his stories about his own town St-Élie-de-Caxton. This is a magical story, a story in which we recognize how easy man can cause prejudice to an innocent person without even looking for the truth.

this film was made in Québec, in French, not English. We found it a great film, but it is not in English as stated. (It may have subtitles or a English voice track, but that is rarely listed in the product details.)

It should be wonderful,

I had been looking for this film and was able to purchase it on my last trip to Montreal. There is so much talent involved in this film that it should have been wonderful but unfortunately it turns out to be a real dud. I love Luc Picard and have enjoyed all of his films that I have seen, but even he falls flat here. Everyone goes through the film trying to act magical and in awe of what is happening but the ultimate question becomes: what is happening? Halfway through the film becomes so muddled and confusing you can only wait for it to end, simply to see how this mess will be sorted out. It looks beautiful and all the performers give it their all but the end result is a big zero. I wated to like it so much but it was just a big disappointment.
