Love for sea animals,
By Reflection Haiku "Lily Wang, Author" (California, USA) - See all my reviews (TOP 500 REVIEWER) (REAL NAME)

Raffi is children's troubadour and is honored by many artists and musicians, including me, author of Garden Haiku: Raising Your Child with Ancient Wisdom. All his music CDs are highly recommended and this title is selected and referenced on Garden Haiku p.98. This album is very special with the famous Baby Baluga, who will teach young children to love sea life and be eco-friendly. By asking Baby Baluga "is your mama home?", kids and moms are bound to laugh and imagine themselves to be whales in the big wide ocean. All the songs in this collection are Raffi's classics. This CD is perfect for playtime, a trip to sea world or simply when you want to hear your children's singing and laughing voices.

listenable at ALL ages,
By Clover (Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Baby Beluga (Audio CD)
This was one of my favourite albums as a kid... I can't say how many times I listened to it. The truly amazing thing about this album, though, is how listenable it continues to be as an adult. I recently revisited this album (at age 30), and was stunned at how beautiful the instrumentation is. This is simply a beautiful example of folk music, for all ages. There are awesome silly songs like Joshua Giraffe that captivated me as a kid, and still leave me with a smile; And there are deeply thoughtful songs like Thanks a lot, and All I Really Need, that I noticed less as a kid, but really enjoy now, and beautiful lullabies like Morningtown Ride that still paint beautiful, calming images in my mind. Raffi has many wonderful albums, but this one will always have a particularly special place in my heart.
