Great product. We started using for our baby when he was 1 month old and he was entertained for up to 10-15min at at time (a long time for a 1 month old). Now he's 2 months old and go up to 20min. The three setting on the musical toy are great (music only, music and lights, or hand activated). the hanging toys are great. The only downside is that due to the shape of the whale my baby tends to slip off of it when he's on his tummy.
My baby has been using this for months, and he really enjoys it. He's now 7 months old and although doesn't use it as often, he still enjoys batting at the toys when I put him on it. Nice bright colours, well made. Also comes with music, which is nice.
This was a great piece...it really helped her keep active and she loved pulling on things, tummy time, etc. on this. We just took the gym set away though now that she is 7 months as she learned to pull herself up on it and then lean her whole body weight on it by the age of 6 months and as the bars are unstable...she would fall often...another thing she learned was to make the gym bars and blanket collapse on her while lying down...it was time to retire the gym!
This playmat is a good buy as it is not only gender-neutral but it has something for baby at every stage of development. There are black and white pieces for the newborn infant as well as bright colours and different textures for the older infant. My son is now one year old and we still use the mat (with the arch taken off) on the floor of his play room as a bright accent.
