HASH(0x9e3f02d0) out of 5 stars I loved this title May 26 2015

I loved this title. The author takes all the various myths about Dionysus and condenses it into a (mostly) chronological look into Dionysus starting with his conception. Lots of detail that you would need to read many, many texts to find. I wish there was more attention to sources within the stories themselves (rather than being listed as endnotes), but I was happy nonetheless.

HASH(0x9dc1ce7c) out of 5 stars Very detailed Dec 23 2015
By H. Mayson - Published on Amazon.com

This is a very descriptive biography of Bacchus.

This book has a lot of useful and detailed information about Bacchus, or as he is also known, Dionysus. I really enjoyed reading this book and found the information contained within to be spectacular. I totally wish this had been the first book on Dionysus that I had picked up in my quest to read more about him. I would highly recommend this book for anyone interested in learning about the Greek/Roman god of wine.
