I loved this title May 26 2015

I loved this title. The author takes all the various myths about Dionysus and condenses it into a (mostly) chronological look into Dionysus starting with his conception. Lots of detail that you would need to read many, many texts to find. I wish there was more attention to sources within the stories themselves (rather than being listed as endnotes), but I was happy nonetheless.

Well written and very interesting biography, with contributions from multiple sources. Explains differences and similarities between the different stories as well.
