This tape consists of 2 episodes. EPISODE 1: CLARA'S FOLKS When Doc Brown's sons Jules and Verne join Marty to take a photograph of their grandpa, the future is almost drastically changed. You see, Grandpa, travelling in an international group on the Oregon Trail, is supposed to fall into love at first sight with his future wife Martha. But, Martha gets eyes for Marty, potentially destroying the future. The science of this episode (especially the logic involved to grasp time-travel) might be a bit heavy for younger viewers, but the historical thumbnail sketch of the Oregon Trail could strike interest. EPISODE 2 BROTHERS After an uncivil skirmish with his brother Jules, Verne gets sent Back to the Civil War. Now its up to Doc Brown to, with Einstein and Marty's help, save his sons. ABOUT THE SERIES This second tape in the 'television-to-video' series helps establish its 'quickie history and science lesson' approach. In live action sequences, a silent Bill Nye helps Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) teach the science behind Geysers and electromagnetism. Even explaining how someone could easily make one at home. The animation is very basic television animation with interesting backgrounds created for each episode as unique time and locale are so important to each story. For an adult, the series seems to be a cash-in on the popular video series, but why not. Kids should not have this concern. Aside from occasional cartoon violence (much less than most other shows), the stories always hinge on character.
