5.0 out of 5 stars My favourite Were-Hunter Novel April 13 2011
By Blaine
Format:Mass Market Paperback
I loved this book! I love all three of the Kattalakis brothers and could not wait to read Fang's story. The book fills in some gaps in scenes that occur in the other books. I love seeing the same scene from Aimee's or Fang's point of view. When I first met Fang's character in Night Play I had a completely different opinion of his character. I like seeing the character development and each book fills in more and more pieces to their universe.

This book focuses a lot on the mythology of their universe, demons, inter-species issues, etc. The love between Fang and Aimee is deeper than anything physical. It's more soul-ful and real especially since Aimee was the only one to believe that Fang was alive and in need of help. They want to be together but can't due to society's rules and family. They look at each other from afar and the need in them is heartbreaking.

I loved this book. It's not the usual romance novel but it touched my heart.

5.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining ... Mar 24 2010

I love Sherrilyn Kenyon's books. Even though Bad Moon Rising is book #18 in the Dark/Were Hunters series, she still has lots to tell :) What an imagination !
I was wondering what would happen after Acheron finds his partner, but Sherrilyn introduces a couple of new characters in this book that are really promising :)
This book tells the story of Fang and Aimee, but it also ties together a couple of other books in the series (Talon's, Vane's, Fury's and Wren's). I believe this is the first book in the series that brings so many stories together, maybe because Fang and Aimee's romance goes through a timespan of years (instead of weeks or months like the other books in the series).
Before this book I always saw Fang as Vane's little brother, but after it.. Wow, he's a true hero :) with all the complexity and facets that a hero should have. I am waiting for future books to tell a little bit more about how Fang and Aimee are going to manage life, probably in Dev's (Aimee's brother) book.
If you haven't read any of the DH books, I don't recommend this one to be the first, even though the author tries to explain as much as possible so readers don't get lost, there are so many characters (old and new) that I believe it will be rather confusing for someone new to the DH series.

4.0 out of 5 stars Finally, my first wolf that..... Mar 23 2010
Format:Mass Market Paperback
Phew! I was hesitant with starting book 18 in the Dark-Hunter series because it deals with Fang's story who is a wolf. Yes it overlaps with two previous stories but this was needed to build his story. I am happy to say that Fang is the first wolf that I have felt any connection to. Vane, his older brother is the alpha male, but Fang just has the 'it' factor. Now I am sad as we have to wait for the next chapter in the DH series.
I scored Fang's story with 4* only because I scored Acheron, book 15 with 5* that was truly awesome!
