Willie est un ancien détenu, alcoolique, fumeur, cynique et je m’en-foutiste. Avec son associé, Marcus, nain de son état, ils s’affublent de déguisements de père Noël et son elfe pour se faire engager dans des grands magasins qu’ils dévalisent la nuit. Mais leur routine sera perturbée par l’arrivée dans leurs vies d’une jeune femme fétichiste et d’un enfant obèse.
Grossier, méchant, sale, ce père Noël est un véritable cauchemar pour les habitués de Disney. À l’opposé d’une gentille fable du temps des fêtes, ce Méchant père Noël passe les clichés du genre et ceux du politiquement correct à la moulinette de son humour souvent à la limite du bon goût, mais, avouons-le, jouissif. Pourtant même si Billy Bob Thornton a l’air de s’amuser follement à démolir le mythe de père Noël, le film ne semble jamais parvenir à dépasser l’accumulation de gags graveleux, au détriment d’une véritable ligne narrative, comme en offrait le classique français du genre, Le père Noël est une ordure. Présenté avec des scènes supprimées et un making-of, le DVD rend également hommage à John Ritter dont Méchant père Noël est le dernier film. – Helen Faradji
Description
Two con men go on a road trip to malls dressed as Santa and his elf. Rather than spreading good cheer, the duo's motive is to rob each establishment, a strategy that becomes complicated when they encounter an 8-year-old who teaches them the true meaning of Christmas.

Nauseating, offensive, reprehensible, vile, appalling, dreadful, belligerent, revolting, loathsome, disgraceful, hideous, foul, repulsive, sickening, atrocious, shameful and disgusting. In other words, one of the best Christmas movies I've ever seen!
