If you aren't familiar with sourdough this basic cookbooklet will introduce you to just how versatile sourdough starter really is!
I have personally tried many of the recipes in the booklet to great success. The sourdough chocolate cake recipe is especially good.
Be prepared for the most moist chocolate you have eaten!

This is an excellent book if you are a novice at working with sourdough starters. I have learned so much! The bread recipe is excellent too! and she teaches you how to use "starter" in other recipes! I have learned to use my "starter" in a lot of things! Cakes, cookies, breads, muffins, etc...

I was looking for a book to use as an introduction to baking with sourdough, and this book definately fit the bill! I especially enjoyed the introduction explaining the history of sourdough. The recipes were just what I was looking for - simple enough for a beginner, but offering variations for when I get more adventurous. The only draw back - no photos.
