This is one of these "flash from the past" TV series that I couldn't resist when it came out on DVD. George Peppard was an excellent choice for the lead role and his character's handling of the bozos who couldn't get past the fact that he was Polish was particularly entertaining.
Each episode actually had a seemingly impossible puzzle to solve as part of the plot.
My purchase of the DVD was more about going back to my enjoyment watching it when it first came out.

If you were a Banacek fan of the TV show or even if you have never seen it before. It is a nice twist on the normal mystery series. I had forgotten alot of the episodes because the show does not get shown on TV as often as Columbo or some of those others. But the movies always have a bit of a magic trick included that you have to figure out. It is almost like a "How did they do that?" plot. I enjoyed both seasons of this series.
