This review is from: Baptism In Fire (Mass Market Paperback)
This is a thrilling, suspense filled read. Rachel Lansing is an arson investigator profiler, the best there is, who left it all behind after an near death claiming fire, kidnapping of her daughter and inevitable collapse of her marriage. Now two years later she is headed back to Florida to try and bring an arsonist down and hopefully finally have closure. The first of many problems arise when she finds she must work on a task team headed up by her ex-husband, Luke Sutherland. Can they work together?? Can they get past the emotions that cloud their perspective of the job and tore them apart?? It is a race against time, because now that Rachel is back, the arsonist is determined to finish off the job of killing her. Right from the start you find that Luke and Rachel are such a believable couple that has to get past their own emotions to save other woman and children from the devastating thing that has happened to them and the body count is rising. This is a powerful book, with twists and turns that keep you wanting to read more. The ending is a total surprise and not one you saw coming. If you like a romance, suspense story that keeps you on the edge of your chair then you will not go wrong with this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Get This Series!, May 15 2009
By G. Walton "azwriter" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Baptism In Fire (Mass Market Paperback)
The first great chapter in Ms. Sinclair's fire related series. This one is a real keeper, also a nail-biter soundly grounded in contemporary fire science and rich in detail with two powerful characters torn apart by tragedy. They earn their HEA ending with fierce struggles and great courage.
