Not So Fast , Please ... April 28 2004
Format:Audio CD
It's not even close to the soundtrak played on the movie , the reason I bought it . The music in the movie is 100 minutes and the CD only 48 . The editing is not worth it , sorry to say . But I did also get Michael Stearns Collected Thematic Works 77 - 87 , and it is a fine electronic album , up there with Michael Hoening and Klaus Schulze and Company . So , play the music of the movie in your DVD and forget about the CD ...

Blessed Doodles Is Blessed Dec 16 2003
By Arthur
Format:Audio CD
I find Blessed Doodles to have great technical ability, great variety, and a soulful expression which seems to be saying that we must reconsider our lives and value the things that really matter.

Jimbeau Walsh pulls out all the stops to make this CD a treasure.

Awe inspiring Mar 6 2003
Format:Audio CD
This CD is a spectacular cut of the memorable music from the acclaimed film Baraka. Like another reviewer, I had instant movie recall; I strongly recommend that you watch the movie first before listening to this soundtrack. The music is beautifully rendered, supporting well the themes of spiritual harmony with nature presented in the movie. The tracks range from meditative soundscapes to energetic melodies to tribal/village song & chant, combining native instruments from a variety of countries. An inspiring album!

Good thing that CDs don't wear out!
This is one of my all time favorite soundtracks. Each time I put the CD in, I am wowed with the "movie recall" I have--sensing the same things I do as I watch the film.

Perfect meditation music
This great soundtrack to a great film is a wonderfully diverse experience. Dead Can Dance, L.Subrimaniam, etc all contribute brilliant tracks. And the theme is simply glorious.
