I am very dissapointed in the designs in this book. They are hastily hand drawn and very poor and terribly small. Not what I expected or paid for.

5.0 out of 5 stars Encyclopedia of Applique by Barbara Brackman, Dec 10 2011
This review is from: Barbara's Brackman's Encyclopedia of Applique: 2000 Traditional and Modern DEsigns, Updated History of Applique, Five New Quilt Projects! (Paperback)
I found this book extremely useful and is a wonderful book for those interested, in not only doing applique, but the history of applique blocks. I didn't buy it for the projects, but for the historical info that allowed me to proceed and redesign blocks as well as stay in circa with both fabric and the applique designs. I like producing quilts that are accurate to the times and knowing what applique blocks to use along with my vast library of catalogued fabrics is wonderful. Thanks to Barbara. I would recommend it as a reference book, but not a project book.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth buying, Feb 28 2011

This book has a lot of appliquee patterns that are just done by hand and not meant to be reproduced, not worth looking at stamp size diagrams.
