The standard one-inch plates are made of solid cast iron, with ground edges and a machined center hole. A baked enamel finish prevents chipping and peeling, and the weights are available in a wide range of sizes to create a custom workout.
This is a ten-pound plate (sold individually), and weights are also available in the following sizes:

Great Plate, Price seems to fluxuate like the stock market

It is exactly what the description (now) says. One plate with 10 lbs of weight. I plan to buy 4 more but the price goes up and down on these things for some reason so I am waiting til it drops down to 8 dollars again. Over the last month I have seen the price vary from 8-12 dollars.
--edit-- Now the price has dropped to 8 dollars a plate again, but you can only buy 3 of them. This puts the price at 24 dollars so you cannot buy 4 and get the free shipping unless you buy another item. Tricky of you amazon...
--another edit-- someone else came up with this and Ithink it is worth posting. Cap makes this same plate in black as well as gray so if you do not care about the color you can order three of these and one black plate and get the free shipping, or visa versa. Here is a link to the other plate:Cap Barbell Free Weights Standard 10-Pounds Plate (Black) The price also seems to fluxuate on the black ones but I caught it at the right time when all the plates were only 8 dollars so it was 32.00 for all 4 shipped. I knew this was just one plate. I don't believe it says it anywhere in the description that it's more than a weight(could be wrong). The product name though can be confusing as it says weights, plural. In the description there's an error on how much the item weighs, but the shipping weight gives you an idea you're just getting one. I'm not downvoting as I purchased from amazon for less than 10 dollars a piece with prime shipping.
But yea, before purchasing, make sure you know you're only getting one plate, not multiple plates.

I love these weights because they work perfectly with my old, short "Firm" barbell. The design is slim and aesthetically pleasing, no extra bulk and no rough edges to snag on anything.
