enchanting gracious ballet
my 4 yers old daughter loved it +++. on top of all, it isn't a silly story nor has it a dumb profile as people usually cote Barbie's personnality to be

My grand daughter and I enjoy the Barbie series. The music is usually great, and the storyline is traditional to the fairy tales I enjoyed as a child. If you like the Barbie series you will like this one as well.

Just how many Barbies is too many?,

My 3 year old loves this movie--next to Barbie: The Magic of Pegasus, it is her favorite. She likes the music in particular, as do I: the Barbie movies expose kids to some fine classical music (Mendelssohn here, Beethoven in Pegasus, Tchiakovsky in Swan Lake, Dvorak in Rapunzel, etc.) She loves to dance to it, and the humor works quite well too.
Beware that there are now TWELVE barbies in this movie, plus other characters, that are for sale. The marketing angles are so obvious that it just makes me cringe, and I dread going into a department store with my daughter that carries these products. I'm a softie, and I know I don't stand a chance with her:) Like a lot of us obviously, that's why these movies and the Barbie franchise is doing so well. But hey, the girl rescues the guy more often than not, they aren't scarry, and they have a good message. Pretty harmless--until you hit Wal-Mart.
