It's a typical kids movie, my daughter really enjoyed it, but of course she did, it was Barbie and lots of pink and magic.

My daughter is almost three, and she just adores this movie!! I was apprehensive at first, because I didn't think Barbie was a very good role model for girls, but I can see her image has changed since I was young. This is the first Barbie item I have bought for her, but I can see I will be buying more. The movie is very entertaining, good animation, and a good message (be loyal to friends, friends come before guys, and of course the female heroine is always my favourite type of movie for her to watch!) I have since bought Barbie Christmas Carol which I also really enjoyed (when you watch kids movies almost daily it is good to buy the ones that don't annoy you too much!! ) and recommend that as well! :) She adores both of them , but this one is her favourite!

My 4 year old daughter has absolutely fallen in LOVE with this movie. We had rented other Barbie movies in the past (Mariposa, Fairytopia) and they did not go over so well...she didn't seem to get into them. But this one was different...we rented this video on Friday, and must have watched it about 10 times by Wednesday...she just keeps watching it over and over again. I have to say that the songs by Katherine McPhee (American Idol runner up) are really quite good! I find myself humming along to them :) My daughter's birthday is coming up, and I decided to get her the movie, and the music CD to listen to in bed...I am sure that they will be a hit. If you have had little success with barbie movies in the past, I DO recommend this one....it has a great stoyline, and good animation, and like I said before the music is really good. I don't think that you will be dissappointed in getting it!
