4.0 out of 5 stars Bared Review Feb. 22 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Last year I was given the opportunity to read Claimed, the first book in this series, and I absolutely loved it. In fact, I can say that it was my favorite book of 2013. I was very much anticipating the release of Bared, and I purchased it right away. However, it was nothing like I had expected. It wasn't better, or worse, it was just...different. It is so different that personally I would have put it in a completely different category. Yes, there are some bdsm scenes in this one as well but pretty much the whole book is about an undeclared love between the two main characters.
As a love story it was quite good. Both Cora's and Aidan's characters were well developed, had sympathetic personalities and interesting character traits. I particularly enjoyed the depth of emotions that was reached within both main characters. However, some of those emotions were repeated too often throughout the book which led to it getting tiring after a while. At times I felt like I just wanted them to hurry up and get on with it. In addition, some parts of the back story were also repeated more than once...how Cora met Porter, for example, it is mentioned in two different chapters. There are also a few grammar mistakes which could use some editing.
Regardless, I do love a good love story and I can't say that I am disappointed in reading Bared...it just caught me a little off guard since I was anticipating Stacey Kennedy's hot, steamy scenes from Claimed.
My favorite scene from this book was in the cemetery when Cora bared all...it was at that point that I related to her the most and felt her angst amongst the pages. Equally, the scene in which Aidan finally realizes what has to be done is brilliant. I don't think it could have come to him a better way. The ending was definitely not disappointing either.
I am now curious to read the next book in the series to see if Stacey Kennedy will manage to surprise me yet again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bared Review Feb. 10 2014

4 1/2 STARS

The second book in the erotic Club Sin series is an emotionally moving romance.

Master Aidan Knight unleashes the erotic yearnings of his submissive lovers at Club Sin. Recognizing that his personally trained submissive, Cora is concealing a devastating loss, he swears to unearth her secrets. Never intending to reveal the heartbreak that haunts her, Cora Adams, but Aidan’s masterful touch is bringing her closer to the edge. Playing a dangerous game, one in which they must bare their souls, one that might heal their hearts and free them both.

This steady paced plot brings the reader to the edge with a very emotional romance and red hot and wickedly erotic sex scenes. The author brings the D/s theme to life with vivid images and details that capture the reader’s imagination. The strong charismatic characters bring depth and emotion to the sensual tale of their passions and desires.

The relationship between Cora and Aidan is one that on the surface seems perfect for them, but hidden down deep is emotional turmoil that may tear them apart. The author brings tears to the eyes during several scenes as the couple try to work through their issues and leaves the reader sizzling during the frequent sex scenes that include D/s scenes, bondage, and voyeurism.

The author describes her version of the D/s scene with well written and tasteful scenes that intrigue and tantalize and portrays the vulnerable side of the characters drawing the reader deeper into the story compelling the reader to keep reading until the very last world has been read. There are quite a few strong Masters at Club Sin that grab the reader’s attention while also giving teasing glimpses of a certain submissive that makes readers curious about her story ensuring that the reader wants to know more.

I thoroughly enjoyed Bared and I am looking forward to reading more erotic tales from Club Sin.

My rating: 4.5 of 5 ⭐️

As one of the Masters of Club Sin, Aidan Knight has been able to function his way through the last five years since his traumatic loss. But it wasn't until the last year or two that he actually has felt the heaviest of his grief lifting and the life seeping back into his veins. It has been that long that he has been playing exclusively with Cora, the submissive he was asked to train and found a safe connection with.

Almost from the start, Cora Adams felt a strong draw to the sad Dom who had been assigned to train her and before long she willingly limited herself to play with him alone. Their connection in a scene is intense and only gets stronger over time, but the sad and detached curtain drops back down over Aidan's demeanour the moment the scene ends. Cora's feelings are lasting and she is patient.

But two years is a long time to keep a secret when you are involved in an emotionally and physically intimate relationship, however narrowly defined, and once the boundaries start to blur, the walls around the true feelings are difficult to contain. Aidan is at a loss and needs to find out what his sub is struggling with, even though the answer will blindside him....

*****

A beautifully written erotic BDSM novel, exploring the delicate connection between a Dom and his sub and the importance of honesty and truth in that relationship.

The delicate yet perfectly explicit way with which 'the scenes' are described are simply breathtaking.....and in more ways than one. Highly erotic, incredibly visual yet at the same time not losing one bit of poetic quality, despite the use of explicit and descriptive language.
It speaks of a true appreciation if not love for the subject of Ms.

3.0 out of 5 stars Bared: Club Sin Feb. 12 2014
By Jade Snow - Published on Amazon.com

This book was kind of hard for me to get through. Don't get me wrong, it's well written, but there is just so much introspection by both characters that I grew restless and a touch irritated with both of them. Guess I am like the cop, pull your head out of your ass and move on!

4.0 out of 5 stars Loved Aiden & Cora! Feb. 17 2014
By Megaen K. Lawson - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
So last summer I read a complimentary copy of Claimed (Club Sin #1) by Stacey Kennedy and I absolutely could not wait until Bared came out! This series can be read as stand-alone's as each book is about a different Master and there isn't really a chain of events for a bigger picture as a series so I think it's safe to read out-of-order (at least so far).

Bared is Aiden and Cora's story. I was excited to read about them from what I got from Claimed. Cora seemed like a firecracker that kind of challenged Master Aiden but also know how to submit perfectly to him.

Cora's past is really non-existent of a dark one. She got into the lifestyle from college, having to learn about sadists and the background behind their thinking. When she got into the scene, she started at Chains (another local club), where she met Porter, her first Dom and her first relationship. She learned felt secure with him and trusted him with anything but there was no spark, no feeling of wanting more with him. They decided mutually to end their D/s relationship and that is when she moved over to Club Sin.

Aiden's past wasn't so easy and haunts him everyday. From the very first day, Cora knew there was something dark about Master Aiden but knew the lifestyle was a release for him so she took care of his needs by complete submission and slowly he started to break out of his shell. Everyone knew they had some kind of connection because both of them refused to play with anyone else in the Club.

But there comes a time when you can't give anymore without getting in return. Can Cora's love for Aiden outshine his dark past?

Their story is super hot and sexy but there's so much tension between them that you wish they would just open up their eyes because everyone else around them can see the situation plain as day! You felt bad for Cora because she absolutely loved Aiden, even with his dark past (before and after knowing what it was) but she just didn't feel it back from him, he was just acting as a Dom by caring for her right? Porter was a great addition to the storyline and as always, love Kyler! Dmitri and Presley are still super cute!

Love, love, loved the ending! A definite happily ever after and even better than Presley's! Totally swoon for Aiden in the end <3

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Read, Unintentional Laughable Moments May 11 2014

This story was good, no denying that. Why it wasn't great has to do with the unintentional laughable moments.

Misplaced commas.
Lost letters.
Added words.
And the best laughs, the improper placement of noun phrases.

Unfortunately, the areas of all these errors were not meant to be funny. They constantly jerked me out of the story and I had to find some humor in them or I would not have finished the book at all.

If Ms. Kennedy works on her writing, I think she'll go far.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well written Feb. 18 2014
By Joanne Stewart - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have to admit, I was surprised. The first book hooked me and I adored the characters, but the writing was less than stellar. It was very obviously written by a new writer. But the author improved by leaps and bounds with the second book. Very well written. The emotion in this grabs me by the heart and didn't let go.

My only beef with it was the ending dragged. The major love scene was at the end, and it seemed to drag for me. I'm the type of person who doesn't read epilogues, though. Once they're together and they've professed their love, there's no point to the love scene. So, this part's just on me. Was well written, though. I also didn't like how long it took her to stand up to him. After a while, I stopped feeling sorry for her, because it seemed to be a form of self punishment when she seemed like a much stronger character in the first book.

Otherwise, though, I loved it. Well written and I look forward to the next book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Aidan was dense but sweet Feb. 20 2014
By Paige Turner - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
I liked this second installment in the Club Sin series. Cora was a great match for Aidan. You could certainly feel Aidan's pain when thinking about his past, and Cora's when she is thinking about the present and future. Although Aidan was a bit dense at times he certainly made up for it. Loved that her past was brought in to help with her future. I do wish that we could have seen more of them together
