Product Description

Album Description

Digitally remastered edition of this 1980 solo album from the second guitarist from AOR hitmakers Boston. Every inch as good as a fully-formed Boston album, the record is choc full of superbly constructed songs, great hooks, impressive production (from John Boylan, the producer of the debut Boston album) and Goudreaus unmistakable, rich guitar tone. Look out too for further support from fellow Bostonians Sib Hashian and Brad Delp. A great lost classic for sure and one that sounds as impressive today as it did when first released. Rock Candy. 2010.

4.0 out of 5 stars A pleasant surprise!!!, Sep 2 2009

Barry Goudreau first solo album released back in 1980 is a very good album overall. This album was recorded with help from Boston's members Brad Delp, Sib Hashian & Fran Cosmo. At first, you will think that you are hearing a new Boston album!!! It's the distinctive "Boston" guitar sound from Goudreau, who also produce is solo project, that gives you that impression. There is a total of nine decent rock & roll songs including the radio single "Dreams".

Barry Goudreau solo album should be considered as a pleasant surprise.
The Razor & Tie release has also new annotation by Barry Goudreau with the original packaging.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good album to have for Boston fans, Dec 3 2006

Although it is a good album and only a good one if you are a die-hard Boston fan, it is unfortunately not as good as Don`t look back. It sounds like the sound Tom Scholz created for Boston and that`s about it. Don`t forget that Boston was originally (the first two albums) a duet. Only Scholz and Delp. The other guys came with the ``band`` when they got a recording contract and had to tour after the huge success of BOSTON. The record company wanted a band, not a duet, to tour in order to promote the albums. Nevertheless, it is a good album from a wannabe Boston follow up and deserve to be in your classic rock collection. You can get all the story about Boston at www.bandboston.com

5.0 out of 5 stars It's the "REAL " BOSTON !!!!!!, Mar 20 2004

It took me 24 years and the power of the internet to discover that the "real" BOSTON continued on under the album names : Barry Goudreau and RTZ. This album is just as good (if not better) than Boston's "Don't Look Back". It should have been BOSTON's real third album. Check out www.barrygoudreau.com for the latest works of Barry Goudreau and Brad Delp. I can't believe this never became a huge hit!
