Book Description

What's more exciting than a new episode of The Itchy and Scratchy Show and more valuable than compromising photos of Principal Skinner? Why, it's BartmanTM: The Best of the Best! America's most popular cartoon family jumps from the small screen to the big, full-color pages of Matt Groening's first-ever collection of the wildly successful BartmanTM comic series.

With the help of his trusted sidekick Milhouse, Bart "Bartman" Simpson, archenemy of evil, battles the likes of The Penalizer, the sinister Canker and outerspace aliens as he protects the good citizens of Springfield.

Follow Bartman on the adventures of a lifetime!

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality over Quantity, Dec 22 2002

This review is from: Bartman (Paperback)
Rather than containing a lot of shorts and fillers like the other Simpsons Comics books (which are fun, too), The Best of the Best includes 3 super length comics all of which are very well written, imaginative, and hilarious. Here's what you get:

"Comic Cover Caper"-Bart uncovers Comic Book Guy's scam to secure a steady supply of over-priced, defective comic books in his store. Bartman must take on resident bullies Jimbo, Dolph, and Kearny while learning a little about the American market place in the process.

"Where Stalks the Penalizer!"-Mysterious things are happening to Springfield's vandals, loiterers, and hoodlums. The perpetrator is known to the media simply as "the Penalizer." A defender of justice for everyone (even for those who sometimes beat him up), Bartman pursues this force of disciplinary evil.

"When Bongos Collide"-Itchy and Scratchy pop out of the Simpsons' television and wreak havoc at the nuclear power plant! You'll never guess the reaction! Super size comic strip of over 60 pages!

5.0 out of 5 stars Bartman Rules!, Jun 8 2000

It is just like the tv show. If they ever run out of ideas just use stories from the comic book series. My favorite story is the Penzalizer.
