Product Description

It's no secret that millions of people suffer everyday with fatigue and in many cases, chronic fatigue syndrome. This book takes a refreshing look at the most fundamental causes of fatigue, it's history, the various types and symptoms of fatigue.

For example, chapter 2 of this book is dedicated to the unique causes of fatigue.

Some points of discussion:

- Lifestyle factors
- Medical Factors
- Diseases that Feature/Mock Fatigue...and much more

Also, this book will provide you a brief, but detailed overview of chronic fatigue syndrome. It will explain the differences between simply being tired vs fatigue and extreme cases of the illness. Further, it will go into detail about why some people are stricken with this disease and the types of behaviors that may accompany it.

In addition to this, there are some very unique types of fatigue that I think is worth mentioning, although they may not appear to be as common, but they exist and can be just as debilitating.

For example, chapter 7 talks about muscle fatigue. This means that your muscles cannot exert normal force.

Another worthy example is the discussion of compassion fatigue, which is in chapter 10. This is a very important chapter and you may even find out a few things about yourself or about the people you love.

This book is designed for you to take away a greater understanding of fatigue and how it's a real disease that affects the lives of millions. You will also learn some coping mechanisms or things that can help you to eradicate fatigue or at best minimize it.

This book will give you a fantastic start on a true insight on Fatigue & Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

Enjoy!

3.0 out of 5 stars Content reasonable, style not so good Jan. 15 2012

As a longterm CFS sufferer I thought this would be worth a look, and a review. While the content of the book is a fair overview of fatigue symptoms, causes and possible avenues of treatment, the style of writing is a little prosy and the book could do with some more professional editing. I found missing words, extra words, spelling errors, and more - with multiple occurrences of each throughout the book.

If you haven't had your CFS identified yet and you're wondering what's wrong with you, then the book has some good material in it (although you may find the length of some sentences difficult to stay focused on). But for anyone who's past that stage, knows they have CFS and has done a reasonable amount of investigation about causes and avenues of treatment, the book is much less rewarding.

2.0 out of 5 stars Repitition, the way to sink it in? Aug. 23 2012

I did not glean much additional information each time the causes of fatigue is brought up - which is done often. After reading through the first couple of chapters, it seemed like 90 percent was repeated using slightly different words or phrases. In addition, I definitely agree with another commenter -- this book can really use some professional editing to weed out the many spelling, grammar, and other mistakes such as missing words or words that are weaved together (such as "thleave" when it should be "they leave" - Loc 628 on kindle version). Even a review by a friend or family should be able to weed out about 75 percent of these errors. Overall, I'm glad I didn't pay for this book - most of it makes common sense, however some of the disease related items are good to be aware of.
