Nice photos, beautiful patterns - but instructions are hard to follow if you are a novice beader. If you are looking for a variety of new patterns, however, it is a good book to have.

nice projects, poor instructions Jan. 4 2008

I tried to make 3 projects so far using the book and have had no luck. It seems that the projects are missing half of their directions. I'm not a novice and this just frustrated me. I found the same book at the library and now regret purchasing this when I could have been frustrated for free. I'll end up taking it to a local bead store and getting an instructor to decipher the projects.

Beadwork Creates Bracelets Sept. 15 2005

I really like the book. Great illustrations and instructions.

The only negative I can find about this book is trying to keep it open while using.

NOT for anyone needing clear instructions-none of her book are! Sept. 8 2010

Book is too small and will not stay open. Pictures choosen for book are nice. Instruction are NOT that helpful. I got excited and bought all her little narrow books after reading somewhere they were great for beginners. NOT SO! WHAT HAPPENED TO REAL PICTURES SHOWING HANDS ON INSTRUCTIONS? There are MUCH better books out there. This seems printed right out of a magazine like Bead and Button that has poor instructions also. Lines and dots do not make clear instructions unless you are a cat chasing a ball of yarn.
I sold all my books on Ebay.

One Great Idea After Another!! July 29 2007
By Patricia Woods Getchell - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
While there are a few duds here (I don't really need directions to "design" a charm bracelet; it's a plain link bracelet with charms attached.) this book has given me inspirations galore. A woman wanted to purchase the first bracelet I made from it right off my arm! Even after using it for a few years I still go back for ideas. In fact, I've noticed that "new" designs I've seen elsewhere recently have just been minor modifications of those in this book. I guess they've become classics!

It's a must for anyone who enjoys the quick satisfaction of a bracelet, or any beader looking for the best of the best from Beadwork magazine.
