Bear's paw beauty! May 12 2008

To find out about the origin of the book please read the Editorial review.
As a hobbyist quilter I love quilting books! I love to flip through the pages for new ideas and inspirations. I purchased every book from this series and find them extremely helpful when creating quilts. In this book the quilters transform an ordinary traditional pattern into extraordinary pieces of art. From one page to another you will go "Wow, I didn't know THIS could be done with such a simple block!"
The imagination of the winners and finalists is definitely wild! I loved every quilt in the book and the patterns are given for each one of them!
If you want to go a bit beyond your favorite block, flip through the pages of this book and I have no doubt you will be filled with new ideas!

Awesome book, such creativity! If you like to see other people's interpretations of traditional blocks, then this is the book for you. It will make you want to drag out your scraps and design your own quilt. Nice write ups on the quilt artists too.

I ordered this book because it has a design of a brown bear I wanted to make inside. The problem is, there is not instructions for that particular design. I was disappointed. The other designs are ok, and most do contain instructions.
