Unleash the BEAST..,

Just when you thought you had heard it all, this album comes along and it is like a breath of fresh air. It has a dark, raw, trip-hop sound,that perfectly nestles Bettie's gritty vocals. The lyrics are clever and the mood is huanting. I was surprised and proud to hear that this group is purely Canadian (Montreal). If you are looking for something different, give it a listen. You will be pleasantly surprised. STAND OUT TRAX: Mr.Hurricane, Satan, Dark Eyes, Arrow

I want to move to Montreal, and I don't speak much French nor do I have a job offer there -- no, it would be for the AMAZING MUSIC SCENE. THere is a lot more than Arcade Fire (or mediocre pop-friendly groups like the Stills).BEAST is a great group, well worth exploring -- as long as you are open to "rap"-influenced rock and soul. Wonderful stuff that has a lot of originality and vitality and authenticity. Fantansique!
