Right at home in Mad Men Feb. 7 2012
By Kit - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
If you want genuine man-hating, look to an anti-feminist woman. Ms. Stimson's premise seems to be that men have no real agency, but rather are sort of poker chips in games between women; she advises her readers to flatter and bribe their mates not out of any real affection, but simply to avoid "losing" to another woman.

The author likes to take an authoritative tone, but offers little substance to back up her assertions: there are no footnotes, her bibliography is one page, and the few sources which are directly quoted tend to be "opinion writers" such as Laura Schlessinger. Any data which do not support her arguments -- such as statistics about female infidelity -- are simply ignored. To top it off, she makes sweeping claims about history (and pre-history, for that matter) which are just plain laughable.

Ms. Stimson thinks readers will be shocked by her "cold, hard truths" -- I was shocked by what a bizarre, dismal, narrow worldview she has.
