Rubber Band are without doubt Scandinavia's No1 Beatles Tribute Band.
They are from Denmark, they started in 1979, when it was still considered blasphemous to copy The Beatles, and their music. Despite this opinion, that was held by most of the general public, Rubber Band continued to rehearse with dedication, until their first public performance as "Billerne". (They later changed their name to Rubber Band, inspired by The Beatles LP "Rubber Soul").
The reception was amazing - the so called critics suddenly became enthusiastic Rubber Band fans!
This was this first step of their career as a professional band. It wasn't long before they were working solidly throughout Denmark, steadily building their reputation as THE Band to have, no matter what kind of event was being held, - T.V. shows, Festivals, (with over 30,000 people) private birthday parties, (with as few as 10 people), company parties etc....In fact celebrations in all imaginable shapes and forms, no matter what, - Rubber Band were there!

"X'mas - The Beatmas" by Rubber Band, a group from Sweden, recorded this Christmas songs CD by using the arrangement of the Beatles' songs. The following is the list showing the arrangement of the Beatles' songs used according to the track number.(1) Please, please me (2) Eight days a week (3) I saw her standing there (4) Please Mr. Postman (5) No reply (6) All my loving (7) Love me do (8) Taxman (9)Nowhere man (10) Ticket to ride (11) Lucy in the sky with diamonds (12) A day in the life (ending). It's genius by performing these classic Christmas songs in this refreshing way. The performance of Rubber Band is outstanding, highly recommended if you are tired of hearing the traditional Christmas songs.

Merry Beatmas!, Dec 7 2007

Wonderful interpretations of Christmas standards by this Beatles tribute band. As you might expect, some of the songs work better than the others, but it is overall a delight.
They matched the chord changes of Christmas tunes with Beatles favorites and wove them together -- not as medley, but by incorporating the Fab Four's riffs and sounds. The closest comparison would be the Ventures' take on "Sleigh Ride," which begins with the opening riff from "Walk Don't Run," then effortlessly morphs into the title tune.
Absolute best of the bunch: "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree". Play it LOUD!
