I bought this gift for a student and we both loved it. The pictures are amazing and it is a wonderful book for tween african american girls. It has positive images and a positive story line for them to look up to. It is one I will buy again.

Me and my daughter (4yo) found this little gem at the library a few weeks after she started taking ballet. After a few reads, I knew it was a must purchase item. The book showcases four ballerinas of different ages and stages of dance training. They are shown doing various moves and stretches. The words have a nice flow and go well with the theme of strength and grace.At the end of the book, they show each dancer and give their names and a description of where they are in their dance and hobbies that they have. We loved that part of the book. Now when me and my daughter flip through or read the book, my daughter refers to them by name.
This is a sweet little book that I am sure any young dancer would love!
