As Haunting and Brilliant a Trip as the Novel,
By S "S" (Toronto) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Beautiful Dead End (Audio CD)
This album is an eerie, glistening, forbidden joyride. A fine collection of musicians has somehow come up with a note-for-word perfect interpretation of the novel of the same name. Like the reel to reel loops Lee Hutzulak employs on the soundtrack, the album inspires one back to the novel, and the novel will send you scurrying back to the album. I recommend you buy this album, download it into your portable listening device and then listen while riding your bike through a city at night. If you don't have a city, a dark country road will do. (Make sure you have both front and rear lights in good operation.) Now close your eyes take your feet off the pedals and let go of the handle bars. That's it. Now you're enjoying The Beautiful Dead End.
