Book Description

June 22 2009
Be careful what you wish for - it might come true!

Gynaecologist Hyacinth Dickinson cast a spell for her perfect woman. A woman to match her desire for danger, diamonds . . . and sex. When Hyacinth meets Beth she believes her to be The One.

Would you trust a woman who could read your mind? Who wanted to control you - body and soul? Who stirs such passion in you, you don't know whether you love or hate her. A woman who entices you into her web then leaves you with no choice but to commit relationship suicide?

Talented surgeon Beth McConnell had to - but she had her reasons.

Beautiful actress Lou Scott wasn't looking for love when she boarded the London bound train. Or was she?

5.0 out of 5 stars A perfect lazy sunday afternoon luxury... Sept. 20 2009
By D. Morse - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I recently read the original version, and found it almost impossible to put down. I just finished reading this revised edition and it was even better than the original. This thrilling novel has everything; humor, steamy sex, romance and danger. The characters are extremely likeable (even Hyacinth in the beginning), memorable and easy to relate to. I found myself being pulled into Hyacinth's world and loved every minute of it. It was one of those rare novels that you wish would go on forever..Ellen Dean is a talented writer and I can't wait for Beyond Midnight
5.0 out of 5 stars A 5 Star PLUS Novel! July 29 2014
By nancy oliver - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This book was so impossible to put down I read it from cover to cover in a 24 hour period! Hyacinth is a character filled with so many emotions, humor, sexy, romantic and very dangerous.. I was totally drawn into the characters wishing for more when the last page was turned. I am starting Beyond Midnight tonight which I am sure will be an all nighter also.. I simply cannot get enough of Ellen Dean's talent.. I want to rate this novel a five star PLUS.
3.0 out of 5 stars Nice weekend read, but leaves you hanging at the end of the book Sept. 15 2012
By A. M. Brinkley - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This book was a nice weekend read. It didn't have the character's depth I wanted it to have, though. In a few parts it is a bit confusing, but only for a moment or two. I didn't like the main character much, but I did like the minor characters a lot. If you have an objection to witchcraft (which I don't) you may not like the book. My biggest complaint about the book is that it leaves you hanging at the end, while you are waiting for the next book. While this book wasn't one of my favorites, I definitely want to read the second book to know what happens next.

1.0 out of 5 stars Juvenile Nov. 14 2011
By Simone Monique - Published on Amazon.com

No character development. Story line wasn't fleshed out or well written. I found it boring and unrelatable. I kept hoping it would get interesting, but from the first page to the last, I found it boring.
