I was disappointed with the 2011 Beckett Baseba1l price guide. Even though they advertise as having the most prices (1.9 million), they do not have any prices for "oddball" baseball sets like Post, Kahn's, Fruit of Loom, etc. Ironically, I purchased the 2011 Football Beckett price guide at the same time and the football one DOES have all prices, including oddball sets. Why the baseball wouldn't include these is a mystery. Unfortunately for me, this book was sealed at the bookstore prior to buying it so I couldn't browse to see what was in here before purchasing online. Also, the print is VERY small, hard to read and it is not easy to find sets.

Beckett's yearly price guide used to truely be the most comprehensive price guide available, but not now. I'm really not a collector anymore, but I still have all my cards from when I was a kid. I bought this because I have an extensive collection of oddball cards that are not from the big names(Topps, Upper Deck, etc.) A lot of my collection consists of releases from cereals, cracker jacks, frozen foods, department stores, and mail-in offers from various products. All these cards used to be listed in this price guide, not anymore. I suppose they can't include everything, but why are only mainstream brands listed in here? Those values are readily available anywhere. Even if that's what I wanted from this book, it's published yearly, and a lot could change in one year.

I was thrilled when I received this after only a few days of placing the order. It is packaged really well. I have hundreds of Baseball cards that I collected over time and had no clue as to pricing. Now that I have this book, I still have no clue. The font size is soooo extremely tiny that I popped a few squint wrinkles as I looked up my first card - which needless to say.. I could not find. I am sure this guide is great (based on previous reviews) but for now..I need to shop around for a magnifying glass.
