5.0 out of 5 stars Great CD June 30 2004
Format:Audio CD
This cd is totally awesome. You can listen to it over and over again and not get tired of it. And as a bonus to people from my favorite bands(Benji Madden of Good Charlotte and Jordan Pundik) have leant vocals to a few tracks. This is a great cd and i would recomend it to anyone.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Different Sound June 6 2004
Format:Audio CD
I picked this CD up and didn't really know what to expect. I heard their "Play It Loud" single on that MTV Made-For-TV movie so I was afraid of the CD sounding too much like "The Ever Passing Moment." Luckily, the CD turned out better than I expected. The sound is mainly mainstream "pop punk." But it's fun and MxPx are a great band overall. I have been a MxPx fan for about six years now and this CD is not my personal favorite ("Life in General" is my fave) but not to be passed up.

5.0 out of 5 stars PUNK IS NOT A GENRE ITS A STYLE May 18 2004
Format:Audio CD
First of all, I think this album is amazing...Maybe not the most original album in its genre, but I'm pretty pissed off at all the people saying "Ohh, this isn't punk, its crap"...well screw that...can you sing like these guys, can you write lyrics like these guys (or any related band)..NO! It may not be your style of music, but don't hold that against the band. So stop trying to criticize the band for putting THEIR influences, and role models into their music. And for everyone who says this isn't punk...stop being 13 years old for once and think about what punk really is and how it has evolved. Punk is a term that was coined by bands like the sex pistols and the ramones (if you will)...it was a F*** you style and rebelliousness. It was NEVER a classification of music until it hit mainstream and people needed a way to "genrenize" it. SO...before all of you go criticize ANY band for their own original work, think about what you are saying...Anyway, back the CD...sure it is classified by the "ignorant" people as pop-punk...but that is OK, I think where these guys are taking music is incredible and thanks to Blink 182, Fall out boy, New Found glory, AND Good Charlotte...thats right I said it...I think its all amazing and I will be a follower of revolutionists like these guys regardless of what I think music SHOULD be sounding like....DAMNIT PEOPLE WAKE THE HELL UP!

1.0 out of 5 stars Punk? Not really. May 3 2004
Format:Audio CD
Ok, first off, this is possibly the worst album that MxPx has ever recorded. Punk is not puck anymore. New Found Glory, Blink 182, Good Charlotte, and other bands, who claim to be punk, turn out to be very middle of the road, pop-ish sounding. I really liked MxPx on their earlier stuff. It was more raw. It was less commercialized. It was the closest thing to punk that MxPx ever got. I feel like I wasted the money I spent for the CD. I don't want anyone to think that I'm "dissing" MxPx. I love 'em. I wish they would have spent more time and made something with more quality. Not this.

2.0 out of 5 stars mxpx and myself April 30 2004
By sweater
Format:Audio CD
well, i'm about 19 years old, i've been listening to mxpx since i was 12, they were my first favorite band and they still are. i always admired mike for his lyrics and catchy tunes, he was my hero. whenever i had a problem, they were who i turned to. they also got me into playing guitar and i started listening to more punk. later as i got older i saw how they started to change. there is a big difference between "slowly going the way of the buffalo" and "ever-passing moment". now they don't even sound like the same band. i kinda feel bad about laying this new cd along with others. i try to get into it. i can't seem to find God in they're lyrics anymore. now they're songs are about the same as anything you'd find at a music store. i guess i just grew up. but i still listen to they're older cds and when i do, it's like listening to a story about my life. well, i don't really have much to say for this record. thanks for reading this review. i hope it helps.

3.0 out of 5 stars ???????? April 26 2004
By Kohl
Format:Audio CD
I heard MxPx on Teenage Politics (my friend had the CD) and i was glad to see that pop-punk hasent been completely distroyed by GC and NFG. But this CD is a real disapiontment. I was hoping for somthing more along the lines of Green Day/Blink 182.
Theve turned into Good Charlottes twin borther. Now they sound like a mixure of GC simple plan and yellowcard. I should have gotten Life in Gerneral instead. This Cd is just to cheesey. No ofessed to who ever said it but i think i am gonna go listen to my rancid and nofx stuff
