One of the most intelligent, thought-provoking, well written, well acted, well directed, romance pictures ever created. I am predicting multiple Academy Award nominations for this one.

First 20 min, just talking, slow moving, extremely boring. I bought it due to location, however, location shots too were boring.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Snapshot in Time Dec 27 2013
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
This movie is mostly a dialogue between Celine and Jessie, the married couple with young twin daughters of their own and Jessie's son from his former marriage who is returning back to the US. A young, modern, blended family, living in France but currently vacationing in southern Greece. The dialogue is very well written, the scenes are very well acted and the portrayal of the issues are done so realistically, that every couple (or former couple) should be able to relate to at least some of it through of their own experiences. Before Midnight is the third segment of the Trilogy that started 20 years before on a train to Vienna in "Before Sunrise" , that continued 10 years later when Jessie and Celine reunite in Paris in "Before Sunset" and at this point, concludes in "Before Midnight" here in Greece. If you liked the first 2 movies, you will also love this one.
