What I like about this book is that my pre-teen daughter can read this book without being defiled with information or examples that are not appropriate for her age or experience. I actually benefited from some of the advice because the principles are applicable all, e.g. trust, patience, etc. It is also great for opening communication with your daughter even if you don't come from the same background as the author.
Get it before your daughter is in trouble. I read a friend's copy and am ordering it for my daughter right away. [Update: Both of my daughters appreciated the book.]
Possible objections to the book? If you do not want a somewhat conservative Christian perspective, you might not like this book. If you don't like "swarmy" stories, you might not appreciate the fairy tale part of this book. This book is also probably not for you if you don't want your daughter thinking about the possibility of marriage in the future (but then you probably wouldn't be considering this book anyway).
