Book Description

Dec 31 2012 Gender, Theology and Spirituality
The book explores the twentieth-century novel from the perspective of theological debate. It reads five twentieth-century writers (Oscar Wilde, E F Benson, Edward Carpenter, Alan Hollinghurst and Jeanette Winterson) who have written the equivalent of sermons and explores how each of them has wrestled with their homosexuality and religious beliefs in the face of disapproval from the Anglican church.
