I've bought many cheap acrylic cases before on Ebay, only to have them fall apart after a year or less with regular use. Finally I decided to splurge on a real case. At first I was also skeptical of Belkin, but I figured if it didn't perform I could always return it. The first thing I noticed was how much thicker the plastic is and how the tolerances are much tighter than the cheap cases I've bought before. With my last case, my Zune would rattle inside very subtlety, and the two halves of the case would slightly slide against each other. With this Belkin case, my Zune fits inside absolutely perfectly and doesn't move one micron, and the thick case snaps together with a reassuring snap. I drop my Zune frequently at the gym, and whereas my previous cheapo case would just pop open, the Belkin still holds together. A nice touch is that the single 'cut-out' area where the front controls are, so you can slide your fingers from the control pad to the buttons and back again in continuous motions. With many other cases out there, the control pad and the buttons are physically separated by a ridge of plastic, which is very irritating when trying to use the controls. With my previous case, the ridge was so thick that I was forced to press the buttons with my fingernails- again, very irritating. Kudos to Belkin for actually considering this important ergonomic issue. The only complaint is that the metal 'top' completely obscures the color of your Zune and makes it look like you're carrying around a block of steel. Also, despite the Amazon product description, this case does NOT come with a belt clip. Only the Remix case for the Zune 80/120 includes that feature. All in all very happy with this product.
