Unusual but useful and entertaining,
By
This review is from: Belle de Jour's Guide to Men (Hardcover)
This book focuses more on how to get laid or get friends with benefits (something it does well and other dating books for women rarely focus on) than how to get in a longer-term relationship but the principles it teaches can be used for both. What I enjoyed the most about this book is how it teaches you to be more forward, honest and to communicate clearly about getting what you want, as oppossed to what I call the "classical" approach of passivity, timidity and mind-games.Compared to most other books on heterosexual dating for women this book is a bit unusual, but that's what makes it great in my opinion. (Its dating & relationship advice is more comparable with other books on human sexuality by sex-positive/sex-radical & sex therapist authors I've read, which is definitely a good thing). It's also an easy, entertaining read.

I'm sure this book would be much better if I was from London. The author makes a lot of references to specific areas, and the reader is kind of lost if they're not familiar with the areas and types of people she is writing about.
