This audio book was my first try at listening to a book in the car. I don't think I liked the book that much, I found the first few chapters funny but then felt it was just a long list of complaints. Pregnancy isn't all that bad for me so I have a hard time relating. And the voice for this audio book is not Jenny McCarthy and sounds like someone who has never used foul language before which really took away from the whole book. Hard to laugh at "I am so friggin' miserable" when it sounds like a diction teacher saying it!

I bought this for my daughter in law who is expecting her first child. I leafed through it before I gave it to her and I was giggling and nodding my head at McCarthy's descriptions. Even though it's been years since I was pregnant, I was relating to her stories and woes.

My DIL has read 3/4 of the way through it and told me that one evening she was reading one chapter out loud to my son and they were both in stiches.

It's great to have a book that adds humour and educates you to often difficult or embarrassing situations that occur with expectant mothers. Nothing can prepare your body for your first pregnancy and this book helps you understand what it's all about.

This book is extremely disappointing, unfunny and tragic !!! It is vulgar and the tone of it sounds like it is written by a 14 yrs old who learned about pregnancy from watching a dumb comedy. Poorly written and executed. It will only take you a few hours to read the book since each chapter is a few pages long. In addition, this book is just a long blurb of complaints. If you are considering this book read both the negative and positive comments then decide what appeals to you.

I thought this book was an enjoyable, quick read. I found it funny. I think some of these readers should lighten up - it's not supposed to be a book that tells you every detail of pregnancy - go buy 'what to expect' if you're looking for that. Some books are actually intended just for a good laugh and most of us could use just that when we are hormonal and expecting our first. Don't be so anal - you are about to become a mom, lighten up!

This book was ok, its basically Jenny telling a few stories from her pregnancy. it's really short and each chapter is about 3 pages. I think I just expected more of a story then what is basically excerpts from every pregnancy book I've ever read. Not terrible, but I wouldn't recommend it.

I read this book about half way through my pregnancy and I absolutely loved every minute. It was hilarious to read what Jenny went through in her pregnancy, and actually made mine seem like a breeze compared to hers! I absolutely recommend this to any moms-to-be or current moms!
