Great recipes and a reliable, informative book,

I've been making at least one loaf of bread a week and discovering new recipes, thanks to this great resource. A friend highly recommended I buy this book after having received my bread machine as a gift. I haven't bought a loaf of bread in over two months and my family and I have been enjoying healthful, preservative-free loaves ever since. My favourite so far has got to be the Whole Wheat Flax Seed Bread (recipe on p. 181). (I replace 1 cup of the whole wheat flour with 1 cup of regular flour to make it a little less heavy - this is just a personal choice, not a critique on the recipe; this is actually one of the tips the authors provide on the same page as the recipe.) My toddler, husband and I ALL love this one. To be 100% honest, though, we've loved every loaf baked following the recipes in this book: the Oatmeal bread, the Yogurt and Wheat Germ, the Flax, Maple & Banana bread, the Whole Wheat bread. I'm looking forward to making some of the old grain (kamut, quinoa, etc.) and the seven grain breads. I haven't tried making any of the pizza dough or the pastry-type breads or preservatives (yes! jams!) - mainly because I just don't have time. Did I mention I have a toddler? ;) One of these days, I will, though. I HIGHLY recommend this book for bread machine owners. The recipes have been tested and retested using different bread machines, and the tips located in the margins beside the actual recipes are extremely helpful. Buy it - you won't regret it!

I just got this book. Pages 161-192 are doubled, and it's missing pages 193-224. Problem in the printing, I guess, but that's a lot of pages to be missing. The recipes look great and there is a large selection. Now I have to figure out how to get a replacement book, but won't they all have this error?

A wonderful book! Recipes are well laid out, easy to read and easy to understand. I loved the variety of recipes presented and was happy to learn about many non traditional bread machine dough products that I can make in my machine.ANYbody with a bread machine would benefit from this book as there are recipes for everyone from the most novice to experienced bakers. In the couple of weeks since I purchased 300 Best Canadian Bread Machine recipes I've made several of the loaves included in it's pages. Family and friends express surprise and delight at some of the ingredient combinations.... as they pass their plate for 2nd, and 3rd, helpings. Wish I'd learned of this book years ago.
