Though never the hit on American TV that it should have been, the series offered Candy some of his most hilarious roles, captured here on this compilation tape: Johnny Larue, the self-involved SCTV star; Yosh Shmenge, who, with brother Stan (Eugene Levy), was the polka king of late-night TV; Dr. Tongue, star of awful 3-D movies; the Fishin' Musician, and an adult version of Beaver Cleaver. I have been a fan of SCTV for years...and i agree that they should make a collection of all the shows on DVD or VHS...everyone on that show was amazing..Thomas as Walter Cronkite on Dialing for Dollars..Dr. Tongue ...Miss Farbo's land...the Schemenge brothers...the list goes on and on..the best were the commercials for "new shows"..the Fish Police (stop or i'll cast)..Enrique Gomez, FBI Jockey (John Candy as a jockey!!!)..and the Sammy Maudlin Show..a laugh riot...if they ever put those shows on any media..ill be first in line to buy
