Good but a stingy compilation!,

Before this Millennium Collection, there was actually another 12-song CD compilation put out by PolyGram CANADA in 1989 called BEST OF THE BELLS(839 664). I was living in Toronto then, and was able to purchase a copy.Like the older compilation, the new one also included only 12 tracks. Together, both CDs offered a total of 17 songs. For die-hard fans, that's just not enough! That's also the reason why I didn't rate this CD 5 stars. I was really disappointed that neither compilation included the well-harmonized rendition of Spector's "TO KNOW YOU IS TO LOVE YOU". By the way, both Moody Manitoba Morning and The Singer included in the Millennium Collection were original recording because I checked them against my old old LPs and 45s accordingly!

A CD of the Bells - at last!,

I've been looking all over for a CD of the Bells since the 1990's and had been unable to find one, until now! This is an excellent CD!! It includes all their most popular songs such as Stay Awhile, Moody Manitoba Morning, Maxwell's Silver Hammer, and my favourite, Fly Little White Dove Fly! It also includes a song which I haven't heard since the 70's, The Singer! I was a little disappointed that a couple of the songs were re-recorded and not the original recordings (Moody Manitoba Morning and The Singer), but other than that, this is a great CD for anyone who remembers this group from the 70's and wants to rediscover their great sound! I highly recommend it.Janice Mundy Toronto, Ontario

Back to the 70's,

I've been waiting for this CD for a very long time.I had the vinyl "Best of the Bells", the songs are nearly the same, except the song "The otherside of me" that I liked so much was omitted. On the other hand, "oh my love" is replaced here, it's hard to be perfect. Anyway, this is a very important CD I bought this year. 3 of 4 people found the following review helpful

This CD takes you back to the time of our teens and what fun to listen to the favorites. The harmonies this group has mastered is such a delight. We enjoy it very much.
