Becoming angry at the risk Alex runs by demonstrating her strange new powers in public, Annie dares her sister to get through one whole day without using her powers, but a shoplifter makes Alex realize that it will be harder than she thought.
It's not easy when you're a hopeless klutz. Alex can't even handle her mom's lawn sale without a humongous fall. How easy it would be to just zap thins out of her way!
To make matters worse, the shoplifter she caught is Rhonda Clarke, one of the most popular girls in school! Now Rhonda is determined to get even. Will Alex be able to stop her and win the bet? Can she go back to being plain, old Alex Mack?
This was a great book. I really like Diana G. Gallagher's books, especially the Alex Mack ones. A good thing about this book is about there's much more action than described on the back cover. And I was shocked when I found out who was spying on Alex and why they were doing it. I would recommend this book to someone who likes humor and action--even if they don't like Alex Mack books.
I think that this is an exciting book and I recommend that you read it. This book is enjoyable because it is a challenging terrific book. Erin K, age 9 from San Jose, CA.
