Worth hunting down to read Jan. 20 2015
By Lori - Published on
Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
I recently re-read what is essentially a trio of short stories by Richard Barre (The Star, Bethany, Wind in the River) that were issued as little hardcover books. I enjoyed Richard Barre's other work (the Wil Hardesty series and a couple of stand-alones), but these stories were just awesome. All three are vastly different subject matter and worth hunting down and reading. They all touched that little pocket inside that delights in magic and knowing-without-knowing-how-you-know and those little tingles that go down your spine and leave you with a small hollow that might be filled with good tears later. I find those stories hard to come by. Thanks, Mr. Barre. :)

A Present for Christmas Dec 24 2004

The second of a series, this owes a lot to Rod Serling; but you owe it to yourself to read a well written story at any time of the year.
