Better Than Bombproof is an excellent addition to any hobby rider library because it provides solutions to the issues that all of us encounter as horseowners. The book opens with a discussion of proper equipment and groundwork to prepare the horse to advance to more complex demands. By addressing the psychology of the horse and classic principles of dressage, the author lays a progressive foundation. The material is laid out logically and written very clearly. The author uses pictures and diagrams which are very helpful. I would recommend this book to any hobby rider.

This is a really great book in its own right. It has lots of types of bomproofing and examples of it etc but I really was expecting more of a step by step bomb proofing exercises book. I wanted something that said 'working with tarp' or 'working with dragging objects' etc and this isn't it. However you do get bang for your buck - lots of text and glossy colour photos, great stories and ideas. Just not what I was personally expecting. Still worth the buy, but I am still hunting for a great step by step bomb proofing book.
