Not a literary gem, but a fun book to read. Margaret is honest with great insights. I enjoyed that book and reread it with pleasure 20 years later.

The book is very well written and featured a frank, candid and detailed experience of the author's wild life as a hippie and flower child to her stint as the PM's first lady and eventual falling out. She was unprepared for the "job", isolated, and lonely. Her husband was unable to help her in the transition from a child bride to first lady. She learned the hard way. But for her children, she might have bolted sooner.
