About the Author

Christo van der Merwe holds the Eric Samson Chair for Biblical Hebrew Grammar in the Department of Ancient Studies, University of Stellenbosch, Stellenbosch, South Africa. Jan Kroeze is Head of the Department of Semitics, Potchefstroom University of Christian Higher Education, South Africa. Jackie Naude is Senior Lecturer, Department of Near Eastern Studies, University of the Free State, Bloemfontein, South Africa.

This is an excellent little handbook for students, and it would work well as a textbook for a Hebrew course, or a supplement to a textbook. It's easy to find what you're looking for, and it doesn't bog you down with a lot of unnecessary details. It's also very up to date and takes into consideration the latest research on the language.
