Product Description

Album Description

Third CD single pulled from UK popstar Mika's debut album Life In Cartoon Motion, which has already shifted over two million copies worldwide. Already established as a live favorite ‘Big Girl’ is an anthemic and celebratory war cry to celebrate size diversity as well as a cutting critique of the new Size Zero culture. Island.

HASH(0xa5865bdc) out of 5 stars not bad for Mika, with heavy influence from Queen Dec 4 2007

Mika. Once you hear him, you are reminded of Freddy Mercury (Queen). Big Girl (you are beautiful) is a great example. The accompanying B-sides are more of an expression this creative and talented artist seems to be overflowing with. Very intersting (live) cover of the Eurythmics 'Sweet Dreams (are made of this), with more of a hardcore edge than expected.
The Tom Middleton Remix of the title track takes some getting used to, but dancefloor ready.

HASH(0xa571fe28) out of 5 stars Fat-tastic! Feb. 5 2008

This is my new favorite song. "A real woman needs a real man -- here's why: you take your girl and multiply her by four. Now a whole lotta woman needs a whole lot more!" Yeah, baby! His voice is cool, his music is upbeat and cool, it makes you want to dance, it's a great song to work out to (just keep them curves in all the right places, haha). The rest of the album is good, too, if you go for the whole thing. I like 'Grace Kelly'.
